Kou Gen

Born in 1994 in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province.

He studied the historical exchange of tea in early modern East Asia in graduate school and earned a master's degree.

Currently, he operates his shop in Kyoto under the name "Kitashirakawa Bakery," producing and proposing sweets that go well with tea, focusing on traditional sweets from the Jiangnan region of China and a fusion of Eastern and Western sweets.
